Why Learn the Piano?
The piano is a truly amazing instrument. It is one of the best instruments to learn the fundamentals of music on. It allows you to learn about chords and harmony, melody and counterpoint, rhythm, ear training, and more. Learning the piano can give you a deeper understanding and appreciation of music. One of the things that I love most about the piano is that it allows you to engage the physical, mental, and emotional spheres all at the same time.
Can you Learn to Play the Piano as an Adult?
It’s great to learn to play the piano early in life, but you can also learn as an adult. I’ve taught many adults who have made amazing progress in their playing and enjoyed the process of learning as well. I like working with adult students as well as younger students. Can I Learn Ear Training in Piano Lessons?
Yes! I often incorporate ear training into piano lessons, especially if a student is interested in it. I try to make lessons fun and enjoyable, and I also do my best to help students reach their individual goals. If a student is interested in learning musicianship skills in addition to piano, I’m happy to teach that as well.
